Career Project
1. Take the career interest survey on pages 12-16. Show your work to Ms. Evans when completed.
2. Go to the Occupational Outlook Handbook and list the top ten careers with the most expected growth. You can write this information on the back of your survey. Show your work to Ms. Evans when completed.
3. Look at your career interest survey and the top growing careers to select two careers you don't know much about to research (no sports players, rappers, movie stars, etc. can be researched). Ms. Evans must approve your careers before you begin the forms. For each career you will need to fill out the form using the Occupational Outlook Handbook to find your information. Show your work to Ms. Evans when completed.
4. Choose one of the two careers to present to the class. You'll be creating a poster and a speech for your chosen topic. The directions are included below:

Preparing a Meal Plan
1. Create a list of meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for Monday-Friday. All meals must include at least one fruit or vegetable. 100 pts.
2. Create a booklet of any recipes needed to prepare the meals on your meal plan. To see what a recipe looks like, please look at the following recipe for Cauliflower Pizza. 100 pts.
3. Create a list of all the ingredients you'll need to purchase at the grocery store for your meals. We are pretending that this is your first time on your own so you'll need to list EVERYTHING- even spices and things that are normally in your pantry at your parents' home. 100 pts.
4. Submit and conference. This project is worth 300 points. You can turn it in to your teacher as many times as you'd like before the end of the quarter for feedback and may make corrections if needed. Once graded, please save your work because we'll use it in class.
